After war

Character: Qiydark Caerdonel

Dark Elf Blood Hunter/Rogue

[...]

We had just beaten a fucking vampire. Senobia Sunak was a vampire... lady, countess, something like that and now she was dead. She was the second vampire we had killed (that's another story).

But we had survived after 2 days of war and we were able to go back home.

We met with the council, a general, the city manager, and the priests from the two sets of gods that were worshiped in the big cities. Magnus, my fiancé made a small request, a small temple or shrine to his god, Taranis, a minor god who had protected the city as well as we had. Horacio, the priest of the "12 gods" started saying something like "The minor gods don't deserve a temple, you should stick with the great temple of the 12. We don't want to offend the ´locals´" and I looked at him astonished. The 12 being imported gods how he had the audacity to speak for the locals?

Flora, the high priestess of the water temple interceded "if someone can speak for the ´locals´ is me. And we welcome the temple as set in the accords". And Horacio thought of adding up while the city council set a scribe to do the paperwork.

While Horacio thought something else to say I started counting coins, 1... 2... 3... 40... 45... 50... then I started putting some money back into my pouch 49...45...30...10...5... until I had just one gold coin in my hand. While I was leaving the room I placed that coin on the priest's chest "for your trouble priest" I said. He was red... but it was important he learned his place, we had just saved hundreds while he was praying...

Magnus took a deep breath and smiled...

He was getting used to me being me.
